Service Dialogue

In this assignment, I created a scripted dialogue from the perspective of a child life specialist to introduce my role to a patient and their family. The dialogue highlights how child life services promote coping strategies and offer emotional support, all while following the principles of patient- and family-centered care.

This assignment required me to analyze three patient scenarios in order to create assessments, apply developmental theory, and determine appropriate interventions for each case. Throughout the process, I focused on building rapport and trust with patients and their families while thoughtfully implementing child life services tailored to their specific needs.
